Endorsements:
In a field that can be so confusing, so complex, Richard Dolan has taken his many years of thinking about UFOs and written a completely fresh overview of the entire subject. . . . This is an ambitious work that truly ties the many different aspects of the subject together. It's rare to find something like this, especially considering the care and thoroughness that went into it.
-- From the Foreword by George Noory, host of Coast to Coast AM.
'As a follow-up to his previous books exploring the relationship between UFOs and the National Security State, historian Richard Dolan widens his perspective to explore all aspects of this provocative phenomenon. In this role, he takes us on a journey that brings to life the subtlety and depth of this rich subject, a truly captivating read.'
--H. E. Puthoff, Ph.D., Director, Institute for Advanced Studies at Austin
UFOs For the 21st Century Mind represents a new kind of book – one that clearly and intelligently addresses literally every aspect and implication of the most maligned, misunderstood and compelling subject in human history. Richard Dolan’s newest work is perfect reading for serious students of ufology as well as the absolute beginner. Inspired, particularly well written, and the product of a first class mind for this or any other century.
--Peter Robbins, coauthor of the British bestseller, Left At East Gate: A First-Hand Account of the Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident, Its Cover-up and Investigation
This is an invaluable treatment of the known facets and seemingly endless implications regarding UFOs, with a much-appreciated focus on the human experience. A job well done, Richard.

While there is so very much we do not know about UFOs, there is also a lot that we do know. What's great about this book is that it pulls the facts, timelines, suspicions and conjectures together into a brisk, readable narrative. Even for the well-informed, it's a terrific brush-up on the topic. For the person who knows very little but wants to know more, it could very well be the starting point to a lifetime obsession to understand what's going on. I would (and will) give this book to my skeptical friends as their introductory course.
Richard Dolan tightly weaves the tapestry here with his trademark style. If you haven't been exposed to his writing before, I mean that he lays out the facts that we know clearly, asks the logical questions that these facts raise and considers the answers carefully. In most cases of UFOlogy there are only more questions but, even then, this book deftly addresses that reality. Everything is here: from abductions to sightings to Roswell and other crashes to crop circles to cattle mutilations and so much more.
I recommend this book to readers without hesitation. After you take in its contents, you are likely to want to drill deeper to know more details. There are some terrific books on the subject that are out now (Dolan has written several himself) and you will be prepared to dive into them. This is a great read.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has the slightest interest in the subject of UFOs. This is where to start.
This book covers every aspect of the phenomenon. Even though I had been interested in flying saucers my whole life, it was Richard's first book "UFOs and the National Security State Vol 1" that really provided me with an good education about the subject. Since then, I have gobbled up anything and everything he has written. And, I also make it a point to attend his lectures if I can. He is also a fabulous lecturer( aways draws a large crowd) But, the reason I truly respect Richard Dolan is because of his sober and serious attitude towards the subject. If he doesn't know something, he says "I don't know". If he feels he's speculating about something, he's says "I'm speculating". So when Richard says he knows something to be true, you can bet your bottom dollar that it is true. Richard makes many other authors and lecturers on this and related topics look like quacks and it is these quacks that eat at the respectability of the subject.
Bottom Line: Richard Dolan is genuine and should be anyone's go-to guy for this subject matter.
But why I hold RIchard Dolan in such high esteem, is because he does't speculate beyond what the evidence shows. So many writers in the UFO field completely discredit themselves by peddling outrageous claims which have no basis in fact. And, these quacks make a mockery of the subject and render it illegitimate for the public.
Richard keeps it legit!!!
