Until the End of Time: A Novel Description
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERTwo couples, four decades apart. One believes that if lovers die, they find each other again in another life. Or perhaps they wind up as stars side by side in the sky, together forever. Who knows how it really ends? Danielle Steel breaks new ground in her career as a perennial
New York Times bestseller with the poignant story of two parallel destinies, and the kind of love we all hope will be everlasting.
UNTIL THE END OF TIMEBill, a dedicated young lawyer working at his family’s prestigious New York firm, leaves everything he trained for to follow his dream and become a minister in rural Wyoming. Jenny, his wife, is a stylist whose heart and soul are invested in fashion. She leaves the milieu and life she loves to join him. The certainty they share is that their destinies are linked forever.
Fast forward thirty-eight years. Robert is a hardworking independent book publisher in Manhattan who has given up all personal life to build his struggling business. He is looking for one big hit novel to publish. Lillibet is a young Amish woman, living as though in the seventeenth century, caring for her widowed father and three young brothers on their family farm. In secret at night, by candlelight, she has written the novel that burns within her, and gets it into Robert’s hands, wrapped in her hand-stitched apron. He falls in love first with the book, and then with the woman he has never met, living in the sequestered world of the Amish—a world without telephones, computers, electricity, modern conveniences, or cars. Although Lillibet faces banishment from her family and community, she embraces the opportunity to publish her novel, and is irresistibly drawn to the man who has heard her voice. Destiny is at work here. Fate draws her from her horse-and-buggy life toward his, and the publication of her novel.
In the hands of master storyteller Danielle Steel, these two remarkable relationships come together in unexpected and surprising ways, as lovers are lost, and find each other again. If it is true that real love lasts forever and lovers cannot lose each other, then
Until the End of Time will not only comfort and fascinate us, as destiny does her dance, but it will give us hope as well. Love and fate are powerful, irresistible forces, as Steel proves to us here, in a book about courage, change, risk, and hope . . . and love that never dies.

I have been reading Danielle Steel's books all my life, in the last few years I have learned to carefully pick and choose. Some of her stories have become redundant after a while. I am very glad I choose the right story this time. This novel is the reason I never give up on her and still remain a big fan. This was an excellent, emotional, romantic, story of soulmates in different times. The author's writing of this story was very reminiscent of the old Danielle Steel, that I grew up with. She wrote one of my favorite and most unforgetable story of all my time, "The Promise"........
With this novel, she weaves two separate, yet completely different love stories in one with the magical link, "love at first sight", "fate", and "reincarnation"...............
In 1975, the story of Jenny, and husband Bill, will show how much two people can really be in love with each other so much. They can complete each other's sentences, they each know what the other is thinking, how they selflessly sacrifice for their love, and sometimes souls are so intertwined together, that in tragedy, one can't breathe or live without the other..............
In 2013, the story of Bob and Lillibet, will show you that age difference, mutual respect for each other's beliefs, and coming from two completely, different cultural societies, that unconditional love can overcome anything. Add the belief of "reincarnation" of the two previous lost souls, and that was this couple's true destiny............
Wouldn't it be nice if we all could experience unconditional love, "until the end of time"! ( I fell in love with this novel, it's romantic phrase, and it definitely deserves 5 stars. )

Danielle Steel novels are always starkly hit or miss for me. After reading a couple of her books recently (Hotel V, 44 Charles St.) that were a big miss, I was reluctant to get Until The End Of Time. After all, someone who has been around as long as Danielle Steel and has been as prolific surely has to burn out eventually, right? But, I've been sick and looking for a good, easy read, because I can't stand looking at the TV anymore. So, I figured I'd give it a shot. And I'm so glad I did. I finished it in one and a half sittings and thoroughly enjoyed it, refusing to let a 103 fever keep me from finishing. The characters were likable, it was well paced, well written, and I'm happy to say Danielle Steel's still got it. It was a little sappy, yeah, but you should already know that getting into it. It's not like we're discussing Tolstoy here.
I've read a couple of people say that they think this might be Danielle Steel's last novel. I truly hope not. But if that's what she decides, she can be proud to end on such a high note.
Now if you'll excuse me, NyQuil and a long nap are calling.
