If you love Geninne Zlatkis's work (be sure to peruse her blog), and/or if you are indeed an avian friend, you will utterly adore this nifty little planner!
There are no repeated illustrations in this book! This is not only wonderful in its own right, but gives it an air of uniqueness and personalization. This book is filled with all of Geninne's wondrous birds- no two are alike. There are also lovely flowers, cartes postal, succulents, ladybugs, raindrops, twigs, mushrooms - the usual charming subjects of Geninne's work.
This planner is inspiring not only in its beauty but also because it is of the "perpetual" style of calendar. You can start it anytime and fill in the dates as you go. The calendar formatting is there in terms of lines and graphs, but you either check off the days or circle the correct month, and you're good to go!
The first section is 12 months, followed by a weekly planning section (58 weeks) with pages for notes interspersed, followed by 8 pages for contacts, followed by 30 pages for notes. The last quarter of the book is completely blank pages for either more notes or your own drawings or whatever you please. Except for this section, literally every other page has an illustration. It is chock full! Each section has a colored paper illustrated 'chapter' page. The paper is smooth and a nice weight with rounded corners. There are occasional inspirational bird-based quotes. The month section's pages are a lovely tan, and the rest are a soft cream.
Rosy pink elastic band is attached to keep shut or to serve as a marker. There is a cute little cardboard pocket inside the back cover for small loose papers etc. Perfectly sized little book for a large pocket, your handbag or tote, to have on your nightstand or wherever!
