I'm not a fan of the yearly releases of Understanding Nutrition, as they usually contain the same exact guidelines as the past editions. The book itself is an easy read, especially for being a college textbook. The diagrams and tables also make a great visual aid to go along with the text.
Just be aware that this book does not contain the media access code that most college students need along with the book. I'm not complaining, but it is a fact and might help others who are looking at buying this book from amazon and not their college bookstore. Amazon could make this a better deal by selling the media code separately or make a bundle deal with the book.

This book is absolutely awesome! I got it for my nutrition class, but this is one college book that I'm going to keep for reference instead of selling. It is clear and concise, definitely understandable, and unlike most textbooks, enjoyable to read!
