Since the beginning of the New 52, Barry Allen as the Flash has been a pretty good and utterly beautiful book under artist/writers Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato. Now going into volume 3, after re-introducing Barry and his various Rogues from volumes 1 & 2, it's all out war for Central City with a lot of mad monkeys and it takes a speedster to clean the place up.
THE FLASH VOLUME 3: GORILLA WARFARE collects issues #13 - #19. Issues 13 - 17 makes up the 5-part story of "Gorilla Warfare" and issues 18 - 19 is about the Trickster. *(note about the book has a printing error on the back of the dusk jacket that reads issues #7 - #13. This is wrong, so please disregard it).
After the end of volume 2, it appears Gorilla Grodd and his ape army has invaded Central City in hopes to get revenge on The Flash. The thing is The Rogues have a score to settle against Flash, but even they know without Flash, they won't be able to beat the apes back on their own. So Flash and The Rogues join forces to hopefully take out this gorilla army and live to fight another day.
There isn't much I can tell without giving too much spoilers away, but the 5-part Gorilla Warfare story is as simple at that. A high action event from three various fractions running around the city from their viewpoints. The Flash/Barry Allen's story, The Rogues story, and Patty trying to find Barry Allen with Turbine. All three work in tandem with each other to keep a fast paced tale. Just when you think you know what happens next, something changes all that, and then changes all that further. It's not a story arc on slow pace, so those who want action with some good character moments will get it.
